I love using items in ways they are not initially intended for. Multiple uses for product usually means one can get more bang for their buck....and these coffee filter flowers are no exception. As far as thin crafting paper goes, coffee filters are relativley strong and can be dyed any color you want (I will post a tutorial for that technique another time).
This tutorial is part 1 of a 3 part series I want to post on creating soft, fluffy, paper flower light panels. But before we begin making those light panels, we all need to know how to make the flowers!
Try creating different edges on your petals for variety. And start accumulating the flowers you create for the upcoming panel project. The nice thing about these coffee filter flowers is that they can be bagged and stored in a dry location, then fluffed up if squished during storage.
