Garden Wedding & A Goat of Honor

April 5, 2016

Shelley  &  Mark

September 26th 2015

This week marks a long awaited reveal of one of my most favorite weddings of 2015 - my last wedding of the season. Shelley & Mark's wedding. A wedding I am excited to announce was just published on the blog for Real Weddings. (see blog post here)

To simply post this one in our gallery and share that page, is not enough, I feel a need to blog about it because not only was this couple amazing (as are all my couples), their family & friends are the kind of people you want to surround yourself with in life, and the vendors (detailed below) were all incredible... but this wedding also had a Goat of Honor.

"A goat?!" you might say.

Yes, a goat.

A real life, soft & fuzzy, adorable kid baby goat.

Like me, Shelley is a complete sucker for goats...actually...even more so. Its one of the many reasons this bride melted my heart from the moment I met her. The fact that she surprised me with hand-crafted paper flowers as a thank you at HER wedding, is just another. Anyhow, I digress. The goat was a surprise from a bridal party member - a friendly visit from the cutest wedding crasher ever.

Everything about this wedding was magical. The venue, Lindon House, is a Heritage Mansion in heart of downtown Kelowna BC. Surrounded by gorgeous gardens. This is an incredibly beautiful location to celebrate an intimate wedding in the Okanagan.

And trust me when I write that Marks vows to Shelley were tear-inducing. These two are not just in love...they exude love, understanding, and compassion for one another in the most grounded and sobering way while still being adventurous and fun-loving.

Mark & Shelley - congratulations on making into Real Weddings pages!
